weight training 4-12-10

I worked on my arms, some ab workout and squats.  I think i am doing mostly squats than anything.  I tried to do some ab workout but my ab muscle was hurting and it wasn’t a sore pain than again maybe it was.

11-19-08

 i have been away from the site since august but i have been working out.  I was on my own training plan when i first joined this site.  But i joined a running group and the leader contacted me after i did my first sprint tri and offered me free coaching (he is the greatest).  I have been on his plan and i have not been posting anything but starting today i will.  My new goal is to do a marathon in January in jackson, MS.  I have already accomplished and exceeded my goals in time and distance under his guidance. 

I did my first 10K this past weekend and i finished in under an hour, which was my goal.  It was a tough one but i know what to expect next year and i will do more hill training.

run 7/30/08

My timing was off.  I took off faster than my usual pace and i suffered in the end.  I wound up walking for about a minute on mile 4 than i ran again but it was mostly walk and run deal than i pushed myself on the last mile since i knew it was the last mile i ran the whole mile it was slow but i didn’t stop.  the first 2 miles i kept a consistent pace on going into 3rd i just couldn’t go anymore. I actually did mile 2 in 9+ mins.

did a full 30 on the stationary.  It wasn’t as bad as i thought it was, seeing that i had not done a lot in the past 2 weeks.  felt good afterwards

Had been off for a week. Started back today it was a super short workout but i rode on the stationary for at least 15 mins. Did a lil of weights and did the ab machine for about 5 mins.

6-21-08

I haven’t posted anything since June.  I have an update.  I did my first sprint tri on 6-21-08 and it took me 2:16:35 to finish it.  my swim time was 14:52 for a 1/4 and 1:21:09 for the bike which was 17 miles and 36:27 for the  5K run.  I had a little accident on the bike which set me back at least 10 minutes.  I was suppose to turn right and i was coming off a hill and I didn’t reach the left break in time and i flew in the muddy ditch landed on my back and got the wind knocked out of me.  I landed on my back and it hurt so bad.  But after being helped out of the ditch, it was either give up and ride in the car to the bike, run transition which is also the end and get a nurse to look at my shoulders or get myself together and hop back on the bike and finish what i started.  Well for me quitting was not an option,  I was determined to finish even if i was going to walk my bike and walk the run.  I was into it on my bike but i had to start all over and get my pace back.  I didn’t get it back i was going slower than before but i finished the bike and than had to work on my run.  I started out running but when i came up a hill i walked and when i got to the top i ran than switched between the two till i passed the hills and ran till the end.

After that i didn’t do any activity for at least 2 weeks.  my shoulder was still hurting.  I have been working out but for some reason I have not been posting it like i should.  I have been running mostly and getting on by bike and not much swimming.  I will post what i did this week, which isn’t much because it has been raining.

7-24-08

got out of work a little early and went to the gym to do some swimming.  The first two lanes are open so instead of doing the stop and go routine i went around in circles.  I didn’t stop but i could tell i was getting tired but i kept on going.  I was keeping track but i lost count so i’m estimating it was .60
